Adults Workshops

"...a unique, wonderful and memorable occasion."
"Many thanks for such a stimulating day. Such inspiring coaches!"

These workshops offer an opportunity for like-minded people to work together on a movement from the chamber music repertoire, as well as to play in a chamber orchestra led by members of The Regency Ensemble. Chamber music is the primary focus of each workshop day, and each group is coached by a member of The Regency Ensemble who usually plays as part of the group.

There is an informal concert at the end of each Sunday workshop in which each of the chamber groups give their performance of the piece they have been working on that day. We also perform the chamber orchestra music that we have all rehearsed that day and The Regency Ensemble play a short movement themselves too. In addition to chamber music and chamber orchestra, the Saturday workshop also includes instrument technique classes within the day, rather than a concert at the end.

We like to be flexible, so in September you can choose to join us for the full two days or for either individual day. You can also apply for just for a chamber orchestra session on any Sunday (a perfect taster opportunity) or for just an instrument technique class on the Saturday.
